Angel Star Review by Ana

Seventeen-year-old Teagan McNeel falls for captivating Garreth Adams and soon discovers that her crush has an eight-point star etched into the palm of his right hand-the mark of an angel.
But where there is light, dark follows, and she and Garreth suddenly find themselves vulnerable to a dark angel's malicious plan that could threaten not only her life, but the lives of everyone she knows.
Divinely woven together, Angel Star takes readers on a reflective journey when one angel's sacrifice collides with another angel's vicious ambition in a way that is sure to have readers searching for their own willpower.

Jennifer Murgia's debut novel, ANGEL STAR, captured my interest from the start. I loved Teagan. She shared many characteristics with me and I felt very close to her and closer to the book. I never wanted to stop reading this book, but as we know, a book must end. I had heard so many good reviews on this book and when I began reading I understood why. It's like Jennifer Murgia put a spell in the book that once you get a hold of it, you fall in love with it.

The characters were real. They had real feelings and acted like their personality was. Teagan was a sweetheart and who wouldn't want to be friends with her. I don't want to say too much about her and Claire or I'll spoil the surprises the book offers and let me tell you, they're good! Garreth. What more can I say rather than a hot angel I wished was mine. He's so sweet and just reading about him made me feel as though he was next to me and making me feel happy. And finally we have Hadrian. Even though he's evil, the way Murgia described him, I sort of fell for his evil trap. I have to admit he is hot as well.

The plot that Murgia creates makes you want to be in it. You feel worried about the characters and at times, I was left in shock. There are events you don't even see coming in the book.

I loved how the cover had the star that Garreth had on the palm of his hand and without spoiling the ending, all i can say is I cannot wait for the sequel. Jennifer Murgia showed what an amazing author she is in her debut novel and I will definitely be reading more of her work in the future. ANGEL STAR was a thrill to read and I totally recommend it.
